In this transformation, what was originally a rigid module, becomes a representation of paradigms shifting. This is in the same spirit of our Literary Pioneers – how they did not conform, choosing to break out from societal expectations that were placed upon them. Each dance form has their own unique movements and gestures, expressing religious themes and cultures. As dancers progress around the open stage, the movement of their bodies paint patterns on the floor. FESTIVAL IDENTITY &nbsp; Real dancers from various racial groups (Malay, Chinese, Indian) are invited to document their dance and footwork. As each group has its own unique steps due to differing tempos and rhythms, we wanted to capture that on paper. The project takes its name from the “as-is” corner of IKEA, where showroom pieces receive a second life. Here, artists examine the potential of scrap metal as material refurbished and reframed.
